Lita Osborne Obituary

Resided in Clyde, NC
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Norman Daniel Pressley and Blanche Haley Pressley Raines. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Bernard C. Johnson; two brothers, Carroll and Harry Pressley; a half brother, H. A. Raines; a half sister, Dortha Whitaker; a grandson, Alan Ray; and a step daughter, Lura Osborne. She was a former jewelry instructor at Haywood Community College with 20 years of service. She was one of the oldest active members of West Canton Baptist Church and a dedicated member of the choir.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, William F. Osborne; two daughters, Suzette Johnson Jones and her husband, Allan, of Marshall and Dianna Johnson Lewis and her husband, Henry, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; a step daughter, Lesa Harmon and her husband, Chris, of Sugar Hill, Georgia; a step son, Robert Osborne and his wife, Debbie, of Statesville; a step sister, Oberia Haley of Canton; three grandchildren, Heather Glenn and her husband, William, Heath Jones and his wife, Frances, all of Marshall, and Desiree Armstrong and her husband, James, of Raleigh. Also leaving behind six step grandchildren. Also leaving behind great-grandchildren, Sara Skinner, Kyle Glenn, Dana and Kayla Jones, Morgan Desiree and Joshua Robert and Evangeline Jamie Armstrong; and two great-great grandchildren, Riley Skinner and Avery Glenn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at West Canton Baptist Church with the Reverend Wallace Britt officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
