J. Wells Greeley is a native and life-long resident of Haywood County. He is a 1970 graduate of Pisgah High School in Canton. He received a full athletic scholarship to play football for the University of Minnesota, from which he graduated in 1975 earning a BS Degree in Mortuary Science. He joined his family-owned funeral establishment in 1975 and is past- owner and President of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. In his tenure of employment and ownership, the family business has expanded to two locations and also is co-owner of Cremation Services of WNC, LLC. Wells is active in many civic affairs and is a member of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville. He is married to Kathryn C. Greeley and has two children, Jennifer Wells Greeley Jacobson and James Alexander "Alex" Greeley.

Dan is a second-generation funeral service licensee who has resided in Haywood County since 1992. He and his wife, Stacey, have a daughter, Courtney, and a son, Zack. Dan enjoys many outdoor activities. Dan is a Mason and Shriner. Dan first joined Wells Funeral Homes in 1999 and currently serves as Manager of the Waynesville location. Dan believes it is important to be compassionate, understanding, and show attention to every detail when serving families.

Angie is a native of Haywood County and a 1978 graduate of Tuscola High School. She attended East Tennessee State University and is a member of Long’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Prior to joining Wells Events & Reception Center, Angie was employed in the Haywood County School System at Jonathan Valley Elementary for 13 years as a Kindergarten and 1st grade Teacher Assistant. She received her hospitality experience during her 16 years with The Swag Country Inn in Dining Services and as Assistant Innkeeper. Angie enjoys working with the Haywood County community to assure them their event will be just as they envision. She’s dedicated and committed to those she works with during an event and knows that attention to detail makes each event special. Whether she’s coordinating a funeral reception or meal for a bereaved family, or a life celebration such as a birthday party, wedding reception, anniversary, class reunion or training seminar, she works diligently to coordinate each event from beginning to end. Angie and her husband, Troy, make their home on their family farm in the Jonathan Creek area. Their daughter, Erin Thorne lives in Georgia with her family. In her spare time, Angie enjoys time with family and friends, cooking, gardening, outdoor activities, Clemson football and front porch relaxing.

Since 2012, Daniel has served as a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Western North Carolina, primarily in Buncombe and Haywood counties. With deep compassion and quiet expertise, he guides families through life’s most difficult transitions, helping them create meaningful, personalized farewells that truly honor their loved ones.
Daniel is passionate about supporting people both in the immediate wake of loss and in the important work of preparing for it. As a Certified Celebrant, he finds great purpose in crafting personalized celebrations of life that reflect each individual’s unique story. He is also dedicated to educating the community about the profound cultural and emotional importance of funerals and the many ways we honor legacies.
Originally raised in the rugged Rocky Mountains, Daniel brings that same adventurous spirit to the mountains of North Carolina. When he’s not caring for families, you’ll likely find him skydiving, scuba diving, kayaking, hiking, camping, tending to his hobby farm, or playing a board game with his family. He believes these outdoor pursuits teach the same lesson that grief often does: growth and beauty can emerge from the most unexpected places.

He joined his family’s funeral home that same year and went on to serve as owner and President of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, overseeing its growth to multiple locations and co-founding Cremation Services of WNC, LLC. Deeply committed to his community, Wells has long been active in civic affairs and is a member of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville. He and his wife, Kathryn C. Greeley, are proud parents of two children, Jennifer Wells Greeley Jacobson and James Alexander “Alex” Greeley.

A native of Haywood County and graduate of Tuscola High School, Angie attended East Tennessee State University and has spent over 40 years building a career in hospitality. With a deep love for her community, Angie is passionate about ensuring every event is carried out with care, compassion, and precision.
Dedicated to creating meaningful experiences, Angie works closely with families and clients to ensure each gathering reflects their vision—whether it's a funeral reception, celebration of life, or any of life's special events including weddings, anniversaries, reunions, seminars, community gatherings, live entertainment, and more. She ensures that every detail is thoughtfully included and flawlessly executed, making each event as special and memorable as it is meant to be.
Angie has been part of Wells Events Center since the final remodeling phase and grand opening in 2014. She and her husband, Troy, reside on their family farm in the Jonathan Creek community. Their daughter, Erin, lives in Georgia with her husband and young son. in her free time, Angie enjoys cooking, gardening, spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities, Clemson football and relaxing on her front porch.

Robin is a lifelong resident of Haywood County and a devoted member of High Street Baptist Church, where she and her family are active participants. Known for her warmth, compassion, and heart for service, Robin brings genuine care to every role she embraces.
She dedicated 29 years to Haywood County Schools as a teacher’s assistant for students with special needs at North Canton Elementary. Following her retirement from education, Robin continued her commitment to serving others by joining Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Services, where she worked as an office administrator and assisted with visitations. She later transitioned to Wells Events and Reception Center, where she currently serves as an event assistant. In this role, she finds deep fulfillment in helping create meaningful and memorable experiences for families and guests.
Robin resides in Clyde with her husband, Wayne. They are the proud parents of two daughters and grandparents to two beloved grandchildren, who are the joy of Robin’s life. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, tending to her flower gardens. Above all, she treasures every opportunity to support and cheer on her grandchildren in their various activities and events.

Jennifer Davis is a licensed Funeral Director with a degree in Funeral Service from Fayetteville Technical Community College, class of 2023. She brings over three years of experience as a Family Service Counselor, where she worked closely with families in the community, providing guidance and support during difficult times. A Certified Celebrant and active member of the AHAC of North Carolina, Jennifer is passionate about showcasing compassion to others and personalized care. She also volunteers with local nursing homes and community organizations, reflecting her deep commitment to service and the value of community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and cherishing life with her three children, who are her entire world.
