Waynesville, Wilma Marie Jolley Chapman, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Maggie Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation.
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late William Vance and Mae Beatrice Wilson Jolley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Elmore; and two brothers, John and Robert Jolley. Wilma worked for Wellco, Dayco and United Family Life Insurance Company. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Wilma had a love for music and enjoyed the Carter family. She was a fanatic UNC Tarheel and Atlanta Braves fan, she kept a Braves schedule on her coffee table, but most of all she was a fantastic single mother.
Wilma is survived by two sons, Brian Keith Chapman, and his wife, Robin and Samuel Kent Chapman, and his wife, Nancy; three grandchildren, Dr. David Ryan Chapman, Sarah Chapman Bontrager, and her husband, Bryan and Liz Chapman.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Davis Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
