Virginia "Mamaw Ginger" Fullbright

Waynesville

Waynesville, Virginia Earlene Sheehan Fullbright, age 98, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Maggie Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Ethel Mehaffey Sheehan.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Fullbright and John Ashe; two children, Joseph Earl Lee Ashe and John Wayne Ashe; granddaughter, Glenda Earlene Hensley-Farmer; three brothers, George, Sam and Wayne Sheehan.  Virginia retired from Haywood Regional Medical Center as Materials Manager.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  Virginia enjoyed crocheting for her grandchildren and reading Louis L'Amour books.  She was a lifetime auxiliary member of the VFW and American Legion where she enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.

Virginia is survived by three daughters, Sarah Gibbs, of Asheville, Marie McCracken (Jackie) and Eunice New, all of Waynesville; sister, Alva Jean Barron, of Beverly Hills, Florida; and numerous grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon, on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Rick Sanford officiating.  Grandson’s will be serving as pallbearers.

The care of Mrs. Fullbright has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
