Sue Booker

Sue Roberts Booker, age 80, of Candler passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 following a period of declining health. A native of Canton, she was the daughter of the late Maurice Clifford and Ruby Barrett Roberts.

Sue loved arts and crafts and she was the former owner and operator of Peddlers Square in Canton.  She shared her passion and talents for crafts by leading craft classes for residents of the Pisgah Valley Community.  She was also a retired real estate broker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheville.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Don Booker; daughter, Allison Galbraith and her husband, Brad of Asheville; son, Keith Booker and his wife, Brenda of Cumming, GA; four grandchildren, Hannah Davis and her husband, Cody, Rachel Galbraith, Savannah Booker and Jackson Galbraith and two great-grandchildren, Magnolia and Ruby Davis.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 8, 2021, in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Asheville, 5 Oak Street, Asheville with Reverends Leah Brown and David Blackmon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Asheville, 5 Oak Street, Asheville, NC 28801, or to your favorite charity.

The care of Mrs. Booker has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
