Waynesville, Robert Frederick Huttner, age 82, was released into the arms of Jesus on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
A native of New York, he was a son of the late Frederick and Lillian Huttner. Bob proudly served his country in the Army and retired with 30 years of service as Lieutenant Colonel. He was a faithful member of Faith Community Church.
Bob is survived by his wife of 15 years, Jean Maudsley Huttner; daughter, Shauna Doreen Wadsworth, and her husband, Dan; son, Robert Frederick Huttner, Jr.; two step-sons, Tom and Jason Melby; three brothers, Richard, Frederick, and Andrew Huttner; five grandchildren, Spencer Brack, and his wife, Kate, KC Banfield, Robert O. Huttner, MacKenzy and Gavyn Melby; and a great-granddaughter, Blair Brack.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Faith Community Church with Reverend Matt Pruett officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the church. Burial will be held with full military honors at WNC State Veterans Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
