Robert Cable

Waynesville, Robert Jackson Cable, passed away on April 26, 2021.

Born September 3, 1935 in Melvin, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William A. Cable and Ethel Walker Cable.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, Wayne, George, Cecil, Bill and J.D.; and sisters, Ruby Fisher, Myrtle Berg and Pearl Cable.

He was a U.S. Marine Veteran and a graduate of Western Carolina University.  He retired from Bureau of Indian Affairs School System - Cherokee Indian Agency.  He was member of Hazelwood Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Regina Hooper Cable; sons Kevin (Tanya), and Philip; daughter, Angela Gryder; six grandchildren, Miranda, Caroline, Rachel and Christina Cable, and John David and Emma Gryder.

A family graveside service will be held at Garrett-Hillcrest Cemetery.
