Phyllis Damour

Waynesville, Phyllis Noland Damour, 90, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late John and Leora Downs Noland.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Damour, who died in 2011; and five sisters, Annalee Overstreet, Wilma Overstreet, Mabel Manley, Mary Noland and Juanita Coldiron; and a brother, J.C. Noland, Jr.  Phyllis attended Maple Grove United Methodist Church.  She was a caretaker for her parents, and following the death of her husband, she shared a home with her sister.

Phyllis is survived by a sister, JoAnn Noland; two brothers, Bill D. Noland (Ruth Helen) and Mack Noland (Myrtle); several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Green Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 79 Maple Grove Church Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.

The care of Mrs. Damour has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
