Candler - Paul Willard Campbell, Jr., age 81, passed away at home on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Paul was born December 9, 1939 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Paul Willard Campbell, Sr. and Margaret Lee Woodson Campbell.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Karen Campbell.

Paul’s first and foremost passion was his family, of whom he was endlessly proud.  Paul was an electrician for MB Haynes Electric for 30 years and was a United States Navy veteran.  He was also a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.  Paul could talk to anyone, never met a stranger, watched NASCAR and was well liked by the neighborhood.

Paul is survived by his two sons, Randall Campbell (Tonya) of Townsend, TN and James Campbell (Elise) of Greeneville, TN; a daughter Nancy Hunt of Black Mountain, NC; grandchildren Trever, Christopher and Sydney Hunt of Black Mountain, NC, Heather Campbell of N Hollywood, CA, Jesse Clements of Fort Worth, TX, Jay Clements of Clayburn, TX, Tiffany Lyle of Farmington, NM, Angela Gafner of Asheville, NC, and Ed Novak of Lake Lure, NC; as well as numerous friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Ridgeway Baptist Church in Candler, NC. with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating.
