Nathaniel "Nate" Osborn

Canton, Nathaniel K. Osborn, age 25, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 in a tragic automobile accident while fearlessly protecting his wife and two daughters.

A native of Orlando, Florida, he is the son of Bryan Keith and Amyi Dawn Lucas Osborn.  Nate was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alberta and Jim Lucas; great-grandfather, Sandford "Tutu" Tisdale; sister, Jamie Grace Osborn; and a close friend, Michael Huffman.  Nate was employed by December Diamonds for two years.

In addition to his parents, Nate is survived by his wife of five years, Rebecca Lynn Shelton Osborn; two daughters, Serenity Faith and McKinley Grace Osborn; son, Brantley Wayne Shelton; brother, Josh Osborn, of Clyde; father and mother-in-law, Tony and Lynn Shelton, of Waynesville; grandparents, Jack Osborn, of Clyde, Gail Osborn, of Orlando, Florida and Judy Wood, of Clyde; grandfather-in-law, Lloyd Shelton, Jr. of Clyde; uncles, Gregory Osborn and Christopher Osborn, both of Orlando, Michael Tisdale, of Crystal River, Florida and Jeff and Nita Tisdale, of Georgia; great-uncle, Jerry Clayton, of Georgia; first cousin, Emma Grace; and many extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

The care of Nate has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
