Canton – Monty Joe Rodgers, 62, passed away on January 3, 2021 at his residence.

A native of Marshall County, Tennessee, he was the son of Gary McClendon and the late Mary Jane McClendon.

He is survived by his wife of 43 ½ years, Jackie Foster Rodgers; two daughters, Andrea Rodgers and Christina Rodgers; a son Joshua Rodgers; two sisters, Lisa Colbert and Nancy Smith; six grandchildren, Katie Rodgers, Colbey Mehaffey, Jacob Rodgers, Wesley Rodgers, Blake Setzer and John Shelton; nine great-grandchildren, Jayden, Hadlee, Dakota, Connor, Scarlet, Tanner, Delilah, Westyn and soon to be born, Harmony.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.  Due to COVID 19, masks and social distancing will be observed.

The care of Mr. Rodgers has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes and an online memorial register is available at “Obituaries” at www.wellsfuneralhome.com
