Melita Craine

Asheville – Melita Louise Ballew Craine, 56, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Care Partners Hospice Solace Center.

Melita was a native of Buncombe County and a daughter of the late Mac and Lois Marie Penland Ballew.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steven Christopher “Chris” Craine.  Melita was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Anthony “Tony” Craine and one brother, Steven Ballew and her niece, Whitney; and had guardianship over Marissa Price..

A memorials service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church.  Reverend Allen Rash and Reverend Donnie Walker will officiate.

Face masks and social distancing will be required at the church.
