Mary Bowen

Waynesville, Mary Brock Bowen, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 87, on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Mary was the daughter of the late Claude and Edna Brock.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Bowen; sisters, Evelyn Persells and Louise Carter Ping; and a brother, Ray Brock.

Mary was a wonderful mother, loving wife, grandmother and great-grandmother who bestowed grace and kindness to her family and to those who knew her. Her love of God, family and life will go on in her children , granddaughter and great- grandchildren.  She will be missed but has joined her husband of 67 years, both now in God’s care. Our world was Blessed by her presence. Rest in Peace dear one.

Mary is survived by her children, Cynthia Bowen of Waynesville and Don (Sharon) Bowen of Gainesville Georgia; granddaughter, Lindsay Bowen of Waynesville, great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Elliot, of Waynesville; brother Richard (June) Brock, of Union City, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.

The care of Mrs. Bowen has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
