Mark Patterson

Mark Patterson of Candler, NC passed away Friday, June 10 at UNC Hospital-Chapel Hill.  Mark is preceded in death by his father, Harold Patterson, and is survived by his wife, Leanne Patterson (Turasky), daughter, Katie (Ryan) Graham, son, Drew Patterson, stepdaughter, Jacqueline Dungan, mother, Barbara Campbell, and stepmother, Jackie Patterson.

After a long career in IT, Mark and Leanne landed in Waynesville, North Carolina where they were the proud owners of The Kitchen Shop.  Mark was an avid bowler and loved motorcycles, Tombstone, and Top Gun.  Mark also loved his five grandchildren tremendously: Harper and Gavin Graham, Kinlee, Autumn, and Holly Dungan.

Mark leaves behind two brothers: Craig (Sally) Patterson and Dan Patterson; three sisters: April (Dave) Hughes, Laura (Jim) Kinner, and Pam (Donnie) Meadows; two brothers in law: David (Tina) Turasky and Doug Turasky; two sisters in law: Linda McKinley and Laurie Gage; father-in-law Bob Turasky and his nieces and nephews, Adam, Emma and Shane Patterson, Lucas and Joey Hughes, and Ella and Travis Turasky.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held in St. Louis, Missouri in July.

The care of Mr. Patterson has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
