Mamie Burchfield

Waynesville, Mamie Cagle Burchfield, age 90, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth Parton Cagle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Wilford Burchfield; several siblings; and a deceased great-great-granddaughter, Megan Cates. Mamie enjoyed gardening, quilting and crocheting. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Mamie is survived by two daughters, Janice Burchfield and Peggy Cates (James Calvin); sister, Carol Morrow; brother, Harold Cagle; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022, at Green Hill Cemetery.
The care of Mrs. Burchfield has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
