Candler - Louise R. Palmer, 79, of Candler passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Buncombe County, she was daughter of the late Millard Lee and Edith McCall Reagan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Palmer in 2013; sister, Yvonne Banks and brother, Alvin Reagan.

Louise was employed with WLOS for 48 years where she made many friends who became family and was loved by all.

Tiny, but feisty, Louise was one of nine children in the Reagan family. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, writing poetry for loved ones and gardening in her flowers. “Mamaw” or “Maw” found her happy place in the breeze on her front porch and loved her family beyond measure and all the family get-togethers.

She is survived by her daughters, Angela “Angie” Baldwin and Lisa Palmer both of Candler; four sisters, Anne Clifton of Spartanburg, SC, Katha Morgan of Georgia, Nancy Halford and her husband, Larry of Inman, SC and Dianne Davis and her husband, Bill of Tryon, NC; two brothers, George Reagan and his wife, Annette of Greer, SC and Wayne Reagan and his wife, Glenda of Spartanburg, SC; three grandchildren, Dylan Palmer, Jacob Miller and Skylar Baldwin and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The care of Mrs. Palmer has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Candler.
