Justin Elfand

Waynesville, Justin Brett Preston Elfand, age 23, of Fox Run Road, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010. Justin was a native of Broward County, Florida, he had lived in Haywood County for the past 22 years. He was the son of Samuel and Gretchen Kemmler Elfand. He is preceded in death by maternal grandfather, John William Kemmler and paternal grandparents, Sidney and Dora Sophie Elfand. He was a 2005 graduate of Tuscola High School and attended Haywood Community College. He was a marketing director for Best Savings of the Carolinas, Inc. Justin enjoyed flying and soloed at age 16. Justin also enjoyed playing music and was an accomplished guitarist. He loved spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Beya Noel; fiance´ Chelsea Sane; two sisters, Nicole Elfand Smith and husband, Aaron, of Waynesville, and Cheryl Elfand Earehart and his niece, Breana of Orlando, Florida; one brother, Jerry Elfand and his wife, Sandy, of Hendersonville; maternal grandmother, Beatrice Streeter and her husband, George, of Atlanta, Georgia; several aunts and uncles and his godmother, Debra Kemmler. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2010 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Rabbi Batsheva Meiri and Reverend Frank Kish officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
