Chimney Rock - Joe Murry Carter, Jr. 74, went to be with the Lord, following a long battle with cancer, on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at The "Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.

Joe was born in Asheville to the late Joe Murry Carter, Sr. and Carlie Mae Ball Carter. He was a graduate of North Buncombe High School and a  United States Army  veteran of the Vietnam Era and served two terms in that era. Joe was also a graduate of Mars Hill College.

Joe taught us how to live and how to love completely.
