Joachim Rohling

Fort Lawn, SC-Joachim "Yogi" Rohling, age 46, of 1325 Mt. Vernon Road, died on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Piedmont Medical Center. Born in Germany, Mr. Rohling was a son of the late Hermann and Gisela Kohler Rohling and was also preceded in death by his sister, Margarita "Rita" Rubin. He was retired from Bell South and was currently employed with RE/MAX Executive in Fort Mill for the past three years. He was a lifetime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and a member of All Saints Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Moody Rohling; a son Joachim Frederick Joseph Rohling of Russellville, KY; a daughter, Andrea Ciara Marie Lizzi of Bowling Green, KY; two brothers, Hermann Rohling of Denver, CO and Rainer Rohling of Washougal, WA; and four grandchildren, Joseph William Lizzi, Breanna Marie Lizzi, Kylie Ann Grace Rohling, and Anthony Joachim Lizzi. He was also the son-in-law of Coleman and Ruth Moody of Waynesville and the brother-in-law of Ashley and Karen Moody of Maggie Valley. Funeral services will be held at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2006 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Deitz officiating. Burial will be in Buchanan Cemetery in Waynesville, NC. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 4:45 p.m. on Friday prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Margarita Rubin Fund for Ovarian Cancer Research, 2255 South Oneida Street, Denver, CO 80224.
