Jereme Lane Deaver

Leicester, Jereme Lane Deaver, age 46, passed away peacefully at his home.

Lane is the son of Gloria Burris Deaver and the late Michael Terry Deaver.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Kameron; grandparents, Harlie and Evelyn Burris, and Roy and Nicie Deaver.  Lane had most recently lost his companion, Rebecca Sharp whom he loved deeply.

Lane was very much a loved son, father, brother, and friend.  He was a 1992 graduate of Tuscola High School.  Lane was employed by South Eastern Oil Company.  He was an avid "Trekkie" and a lover of fun, and fast cars, especially Camaro’s.  Lane adored his family and friends with a passion, was a music fanatic and food connoisseur.  He loved people and it was evident in his treatment of others.  Lane enjoyed relaxing, especially after a long shift at work, he savored beach vacations and cruises and looked forward to our annual family trips and reunions.  He especially enjoyed our "Friday night roundtables" and hanging out and catching up with friends every chance he got.  Lane was enthusiastic about political issues, current events and was a military history buff, just like his dad.  Most importantly, in the last few years, Lane had developed his personal relationship with his Lord and Savior.

Lane is survived by his mother, Gloria Deaver; son, Lakoda Deaver; his adopted sister, Tammy Inman, and her husband, Chris; aunt, Linda Singleton; uncles, Mike and Ronnie Burris; several cousins; and his adopted niece and her husband.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Heath Davis and Reverend Caleb Simmons officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  The service will be live streamed and will be accessible through Lane’s obituary on Wells Funeral Home website.

The care of Lane has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
