James Knight

Waynesville, James Robert Knight, age 37, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at his residence.

A native of Haywood County he was a son of the late Moody and Marie Knight.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Doyle Green and nephew, Anthony Dane Green.  James was a devoted Christian and loved remote control cars, tinkering and building cars and vehicles with his son.  He enjoyed teaching his daughter to shoot guns, spending time with the love of his life and his children.

James is survived by his fiancée, Dana Green; daughter, Shelby Malane Green Knight; son, Noah James Green Knight; brother, Jessie Knight, and his fiancée, Heidi Constante; brother-in-law, D. J. Green; mother-in-law, Bronwyn Green; three nieces, Bella Grace Knight, Bayleigh Marie Knight and Breanna Conard; two nephews, Bentley Knight and Bentley Green.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2022 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home.  Inurnment will be at Green Family Cemetery.

The care of James has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
