Ina Conard

White Oak, Ina Jenkins Conard, age 84, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Boone and Viola Franklin Jenkins.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Conard, who died in 2010; one son, William Taft Conard and one brother and three sisters.  Ina was born and raised in the White Oak community.  She was married to Junior Conard for 57 years, and together they raised 9 beautiful children.  Ina was a loving and caring provider for her family.  She will always be remembered for her good ole fashion country cooking.

Ina is survived by seven daughters, Barbara Ann Fie, of Maggie Valley, Mildred Henson (Daryll), of Cleveland, Tennessee, Linda Deaver (Danny), of Canton, Rosetta Conard, of Maggie Valley, Loretta Conard, of Bethel, Dorothy Hall (Roger), of Cleveland, Tennessee and June West (Doug), of White Oak; one son, Howard Conard (Sharon), of Bethel; five brothers, Medford, Frank, R.D., Robert Lee and Davis Roe Jenkins; fifteen grandchildren, Claudia, Jessica, Josh, Gordon, Mary Kay, Amanda, Krista, Samantha, Tyalee, Courtney, Crystal, Patricia, Ashley, Reba and Jenny; numerous beloved, great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Bonnie Nichols.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Putnam and Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating.  Burial will follow in the White Oak Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
