Hilda Clemens

Waynesville, Hilda Mae "Moore" Clemens, age 89, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, Hilda was the daughter of the late James Clifford and Ruby Gentry Moore.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband James Leon Clemens, who died in 1981, three sisters: Doris Louise Moore, JoAnn Hughes, Shirley Kapfinger, and a brother; Bonner Ray Moore.  Hilda was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church and proudly served in the U.S. Army where she met and married her husband James.

Hilda is survived by a daughter; Marsha Sellers, of Waynesville and a son; James Clemens and his wife, Tammy, of River Falls, Wisconsin, three grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

Hilda will be buried at Red Bank Cemetery alongside her husband and parents.  A Memorial Service will occur at a later date.
