Helen Brown

Waynesville, NC, Helen Brown, age 94, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010 in Waynesville, NC, surrounded by family. A native of Brooklyn, New York, she had previously lived in Green Valley, Arizona and had resided in Haywood County for the past year. She was the daughter of the late James and Selma Johansen Crane. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Desmond K. Brown who died in 2002; three sisters, Lillian Dosch, Ethel Crane and Marion Underhill and a brother, George Crane. Helen was a homemaker and was of the Episcopal Faith and loved animals, and had many dear friends. She is survived by a sister- in-law, Andree Crane, of CT; two nephews, Art Dosch and his wife, Vicky, of NC and George J. Crane and a niece, Cheryl A. Perry and her husband, Tom, all of CT., and several cousins. At her request no services will be held. Inurnment will take place in Green Valley Arizona.
