Frank Harmon

Asheville – Frank William Harmon, 84, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center.

Frank was born in Watuga County, NC to the late William Otis and Alice Ward Harmon. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruby Harmon; two sons, William Dwayne Harmon and wife, Charlene, of Asheville, and Frank “Ronnie” Harmon and wife, Tammy, of League City, TX; one sister, Burtie Keller, of Boone, NC; six beloved grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren whom he cherished with all his heart.

Frank enjoyed deer hunting including South Carolina and trips to Colorado to hunt elk. He loved vacationing in Cades Cove, Myrtle Beach, and Virginia Beach; and was thrilled when he was able to travel to Texas and Hawaii. Frank also loved NASCAR and was a devoted Dale Earnhardt fanatic.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2020 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will take place at the Forest Lawn Mausoleum following the service.
