Mars Hill – Emma Brookshire Robinson, 91, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Mission Memorial Campus.

Emma was a native of Buncombe County and a daughter of the late Lemuel S. and Margaret Campbell Brookshire.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack G. Robinson, who died in 2010; a son, Gerald Robinson; a grandson, Alex Robinson; and a sister, Edith Hyatt.  Emma made Christmas ornaments, embroidered, canned, and square danced.  She was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church where she was a leader of the senior adults.  Emma read through the Bible close to 50 times over her life and was a suttle witness.

She is survived by a son, Gene Robinson and wife, Jane, of Weaverville; one daughter-in-law, |Gayle Robinson of Candler; two sisters, Sue Hensley of Greer, South Carolina and Earlene King and husband, William, of Kings Mountain; two grandchildren, Cortney Gordon (Adam) of Lillington, and Cody Robinson, (Bekah), of Arden; and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Reverend Bobby Smith officiating.

The care of Mrs. Robinson has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton and an online memorial register is available at “Obituaries” at www.wellsfuneralhome.com
