Elizabeth Forrest

Waynesville, Elizabeth Lynn Allen Forrest, 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Florida, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Louise Lopez Allen.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half-brother, J.H. Allen, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Danielle Ashe.  Elizabeth was employed as a RN for many years for Haywood County Hospital.  She was a member of St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Elizabeth enjoyed cooking, shopping and going out to eat and especially being with family and living in the mountains and spending time with her fur baby Woody.

Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Dana Ashe and Cristy Forrest; son, Stephen Forrest (Magdelana); sister Mary Jean Torda (Steve); two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The care of Mrs. Forrest has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
