Canton – Dianna Worley Burris, 76, was taken to her heavenly home on May 17, 2022, with her beloved family by her side.

Dianna, affectionately known as Mammy by all her friends and family, was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Bennie Bronson and Juanita Scott Worley.  In addition to her parents, Mammy was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Clark, who passed away in 2020.  Mammy worked for over 20 years at Champion Paper in maintenance.  Upon retirement, Mammy and Marshall retired to Dandridge, Tennessee opening Shady Holler RV Park.  When she wasn’t making new friends and acquaintances, Mammy would work with special needs adults in the Dandridge community.  She always said she was “The Mammy” of everyone and truly extended love to all those she knew.  Mammy was a strong, independent, adventurous woman who loved and adored her family and friends.

Mammy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Marshall Burris, of Dandridge, Tennessee; two daughters, Beverly Ferguson, and her husband, Michael, of Clyde, Tina McClure, and her husband, Stuart, of Waynesville; one son, Benny Brock, and his wife, Amy, of Canton; two brothers, Douglas Worley, and his wife, Eva, of Marion and Dana Worley, of Knoxville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Adam Birchfield (Lyndsie), Taryn Joiner (Alex), Bronson Brock (Amber), Andrew Ferguson (Kim), Mathew Brock, Sarah Brock (Jordan), Madison Burgess (Brandon), and Tyler Williamson (Kellsi); seven great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Charlie, Calvin, Chloe, Oliver, Odin, and Waylon; three special friends, Melody Davis, Renee Sherrill, and Cindy Abers; one step-daughter, Marsha Brown, of Virginia; and one step-son, Erich Burris, and his wife, Jackie, of Waynesville.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Beaverdam Baptist Church with the Reverend Gene Worley and Reverend Douglas Worley officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
