David Lee Davis took a ride on the golden road with the good Lord as his pilot, on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
David was born in Putnam County, Florida to the late Roy and Elizabeth Davis. In addition to being joined by his parents, he was also joined by his three grandchildren. David worked for the Palatka Sheriffs Department as well as being an EMS Driver. Other times throughout his life, he was a trucker and got to travel around and see many places and was also a security officer. Most importantly, he was a beloved husband by his wife, Sandra Davis, who he met in 1976 at Ghost Town and confessed upon their first meeting he was going to marry her, and he did in 1978.
David loved fishing and being in the great outdoors, and he loved to ride his wife around on his motorcycle. He enjoyed making his own arrows for his bow and was always up for a good joke. Everyone who was around him knew just how special and amazing he was.
In addition to being survived by his wife, Sandra; he was a beloved father to his four children, Adam, and his wife, Cassie, Jennifer, and her husband, Chris, Brenda Davis and Crystal Lancaster, and her husband, Mark, all of Waynesville; a beloved grandfather to Jayme, Luther, Zack, Mekare, Pheonix and Katherine, of Waynesville; a beloved brother to Katina Simmons, and her husband Brad, of Bryson City.
