Colleen Jones

Colleen Parker Jones, 56, of the Beaverdam Community passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Mission Hospital. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Pegram Parker and Marie King Parker of Canton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Gail Parker.

A 1984 graduate of Pisgah High School, Colleen was employed for 20 years with the Mission Hospital System.  Colleen was a lover of animals and an avid birdwatcher. She attended Rocky Face Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 20 years, Randy Jones; daughters, Sabrina Carver of Clyde, Amanda Jones of Clyde and Tianna Jones of Waynesville; son, Dustin Jones and his wife, Destiny of Canton; sister, Kathy Hoglen and her husband, Neal of Canton and four grandchildren, Aryanna, Tayleigh, Raylynn and Emma; a special niece, Heather Pressley, from Leicester and her children, Luke Glance, Lillie Kate Glance, and Cling Pressley, who Colleen had a special love for; and a special nephew, Heath Hoglen, from Canton; and her two best friends, Allison Boyd and Lois Scott.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Donnie Henson officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Face Baptist Church, 1635 Worley Cove Road, Canton, NC 28716.

The care of Mrs. Jones has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
