Chester Webb

Waynesville, Chester Webb, age 67, of Riverbend Street, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Hampton and Ethel Norris Webb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Webb, who died in 2001; three brothers, Charles, Howard, and Gifford Webb; and two sisters, Catherine Webb and Ann Lee Stamey. Chester was a small engine repairman and enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes. He was a member of Ninevah Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Jean Woody; one sister, Helen Carver; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, all of Waynesville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Burial will be held at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
