Carolyn Warren

Canton, Carolyn Stepp Warren, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at her residence.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Nelly Rogers Stepp.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George Warren who died in 2018; son, Dwight Warren; grandson, Tyler Warren; two sisters, Gladys Frizzell and Doris Warren; five brothers, Kenneth, Carl, Bergin, General and Lewis Stepp.  Carolyn worked with Ball Brothers Glass, a company, known for their canning jars.  She was a member of Burnett Siding Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, NASCAR and spending precious time with her family.

Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Elaine "Sis" Warren; two sons Doug "Bo" Warren and Gary "Wally" Warren, all of Canton; sister, Virginia Seay, of Rutherfordton, NC; brother, Doug Stepp, of Lexington, NC; one grandson; and six granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Nathan Ashe officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

The care of Ms. Warren has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
