Bonnie Parton

Waynesville, Bonnie Rose Parton, age 72, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Madison County, and a lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late William and Rosie Glenn Parton.   In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, William Joseph Parton, Jr. and a grandson, David Robert Parton.  Bonnie owned and operated Maggie’s Oven in Maggie Valley and she also worked at Lake Junaluska Assembly as a baker. Bonnie enjoyed reading her Bible, working puzzles and was a member of  Liberty Baptist Church.

Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Chrissy Taylor and her husband, Vince, of Asheville, NC; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Champion and Becki Guthrie, both of Hendersonville, NC; two sisters, Christine Roberts and her husband, Nathan, of Waynesville, NC and Faye Alexander, of Pauline, SC; one brother, J.D. Parton, of Rock Hill, SC and four grandchildren, Vince Taylor III, Aydin, Mya, and Isaiah Taylor.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at Victory Baptist Church in Asheville at a later date.
