Canton - Bobbie Ann Hall Blazer passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.

She was born on January 6, 1938 and was a native and life-long resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Letch R. and Amanda Cody Hall. In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kevin Eldon Rhinehart, who passed in 2004.

Bobbie was a former employee of American Enka Corp and Champion International and retired from Continental Teves in 2004.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. Bobbie was kindhearted, compassionate and charitable, and always put others before herself. Her favorite past time was baking and she especially enjoyed baking cakes to give to others.

Bobbie was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Canton and sincerely loved her church family, where she enjoyed serving on the Social Work and Kitchen committees. She also enjoyed cooking for her church’s youth group fundraisers and Bible school, as well as helping plan activities for her church senior group, Beulah’s Blessed. Bobbie had a passion for holding her 1956 Canton High School graduating class together and was instrumental in planning and carrying out each of their class reunions since their graduation. She served on the Patton School Alumni Committee and enjoyed helping raise money for their scholarship fund.

She leaves behind her immediate family that she cherished and to whom she always demonstrated the most impeccable love; her daughter, Krista Rhinehart Privett of Canton; her mother, Geneva Hall of Canton; her brother, James Eldon Hall and his wife, Brenda, of Pell City, Alabama; her grandson, Adam Rhinehart of Canton; her nephews, Stephen Hall and wife ,Nina, of Birmingham, Alabama and David Hall and wife, Stacy, of Vestavia, Alabama; her three great-nieces, Amanda, Melissa and Mary Hall; and her two great-nephews, Nathan and Jon David Hall. Bobbie also leaves extended family to cherish her memory; Gene and Mary Ann Blazer of Killen, Alabama; Dennis, Amy, Lillie and Allie Mull of Canton; Brian and Carrie Ann Hale of Toney, Alabama; Cage and Marie Blazer of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and Judy Putnam of Canton.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Beulah Baptist Church with Reverend Barry Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Bobbie’s life be celebrated with a donation to Beulah Baptist Church, 483 Sunset Circle, Canton, NC 28716.

Bobbie leaves behind this message for all those who loved her: “Please don’t be sad that I’m gone. Rejoice that I’m in the loving arms of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
