Betty Reese

Canton – Betty Jean Clark Reese, 89, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.

Betty was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Russell and Laura Gosnell Clark.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thaon Reese, who died in 1994 and three sisters.  Betty was employed by Medford’s Bakery and Dixon’s Little Boy and was a member of Canton Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Violet Massey of Waynesville and Judy Pollard of Raleigh; and one brother, Melvin Clark.

At Betty’s request, private services will be held.
