Audrey Lee Clark Morgan

September 28, 1948 – September 23, 2022

Audrey Lee Clark Morgan, 73, of Waynesville, peacefully went home to be with our Lord and Saviour on Friday, September 23, at her home.

Mrs. Morgan was born September 28, 1948 and resided in the Saunook Community of Haywood County.  She was a lifelong native of Waynesville and was preceded in death by her parents, Dee Clark and Leona Rhinehart Clark; sister, Shirley Clark Inman; and brother, Jimmy Clark.

Audrey was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church and dedicated her life to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, being an inspiration to others and praying for friends and family.  She was a graduate of Waynesville Township High School, worked for Dayco, and the clothing store, "The Shack" on Main Street in Waynesville.

Audrey is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Kenneth Morgan.  They were married for 54 years.  She is also survived by her twin brother, Allen Clark; her two sons, Shannon Morgan and wife, Sherry, and Jeremy Morgan; three grandchildren, James Delane Morgan and wife, Vanessa, Patric Morgan and husband, Christian, and Amanda Morgan Bacon, and husband, Justin; six great-grandchildren, Zoё Grace, Charlё Jane, Penny Delane, Rhenn Michael, Primrose, and Ivy May Bacon; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Scotty Patrick officiating.  Private burial will follow at Plott-Saunook Cemetery.

The care of Mrs. Morgan has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
