Alisha Bernat

April 4, 1985 — April 21, 2020

Alisha D. Bernat

Candler – Alisha Daniela Webb Bernat, 35, passed away Tuesday April 21, 2020 in Asheville, NC.

Alisha was a native of Buncombe County and the daughter of Brian Duane and Deborah Weaver Webb of Candler.

Alisha was and will forever be a child of God.  As a young girl, she and her sister Shannon, sang and performed at countless churches in the southeast as the Webb Sisters.  Alisha’s love for music carried over to high school where she sang for the Enka High School chorus.  Alisha loved to dance with her daughters and found comfort and peace when she was close to animals. She had a great passion for skating and hiking in the mountains she called home. Alisha always displayed a huge heart for others, and she was deeply loved in return. She is gone much too soon, but what gives us comfort in these most challenging times, is the fact Alisha is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Violet Bernat of Candler, and Brianna Bernat of Shelby, NC; her maternal grandmother, Nellie Weaver, of Shelby; a sister, Shannon Webb (David Corn), of Candler; two uncles, Larry Weaver of Shelby, and Dean Webb of Fletcher, NC; two aunts, Terra Newsom (Jeff Newsom), of AK, and Teresa Gerhart of FL; one very special nephew, Brent Webb; the father of her children, Danny Bernat; and her loving friends Donna Bruce of Candler and Edward Wood of Hendersonville.

A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home chapel.  Officiating the service will be the Reverend Dennis Thurman.  The family would appreciate your prayers and words of comfort.

The care of Alisha has been entrusted to Forest Lawn Funeral Homes and an online memorial register is available at “Obituaries” at www.forestlawnfuneral.com
