Zebulon Ledford

Candler, Zebulon Clifton Ledford, Jr., 90, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Carolina Pines at Asheville.

A lifelong native of North Carolina, he was the son of the late Clifton Ledford, Sr. and Mabel Cruise Ledford.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Mitch Ledford and two brothers, Edward and Jerry Ledford. He proudly served four years as a staff sergeant and medic in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Cliff worked as a foreman for multiple construction sites and companies over the years, he used that opportunity to travel with his wife Ruby. He took care of his home and his neighbors, finding joy in fixing anything that needed it and always keeping his yard immaculate. He was a strong believer in the power of prayer.

Zebulon is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ruby Janet Ledford; a grandson, Bryan Ledford, of Candler; two nieces, Joan Willis and Judy Crisp, both of Franklin; and a special neighbor, Janice Rice Edwards.

The care of Mr. Ledford has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
