Wilma Sease

Waynesville-Wilma Finger Sease, age 86, of 237 Brunswick Drive, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Mission Hospital. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Reverend John C. and Sarah Elizabeth Mehaffey Finger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph William Sease, who died in 1945; an infant sister, Ruth Finger; a sister, Georgia Clark; and a granddaughter, Susan Taylor. She formerly owned and operated Hale's Clothing Store in Waynesville for over 20 years. She was also a former real estate agent and bookkeeper for Pet Dairy. She was a member of Maggie United Methodist Church, an active member of the Downtown Waynesville Association, a member of Beta Sigma Phi, and Altrusa Club. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Taylor, and her husband, Joe, of Waynesville; four sisters, Hattie McCall, and her husband, Jay B., of Balsam Grove, NC, Grace Woody of Maggie Valley, Mary Greer of Waynesville, and Frances Smith and her husband, Dr. A. Heyward Smith, Jr., of Lake Junaluska; two brothers, Lee Finger and his wife, Susan, of Asheville, and Jack Finger and his wife, Olin, of Waynesville; and one grandson, Joel Taylor and his wife, Allison, of Waynesville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2007 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jack C. Bishop and family member, Mrs. Carleene Finger, officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Haywood County Rescue Squad, P.O.
