William "Bill" Smith

William “Bill” Smith, 95, of Waynesville, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara O’Neal Smith; a son, Jason Smith (Amy); three grandchildren, Avery, Braydon and Colton Smith, and one sister, Jackie Larkin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley, 3634 Soco Road, Maggie Valley, NC 28751.

The care of Mr. Smith has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
