William Hutchison

"1919 – 2015" Clyde – William Franklin Hutchison, 95, passed away January 20, 2015 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Gaston County, he was a son of William Lee and Mary Daisy Wilson Hutchison. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Marion, Robert, and Charles Hutchison; and three sisters, Mary Kennedy, Rachel Gibson, and Lucy Rebecca Hutchison. A Marine veteran of World War II, he served in the South Pacific, and retired from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesville. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Gwendolyn Haynes Hutchison; one daughter, Ann Hutchison Carson of Harrisburg, North Carolina; two sons, Michael Haynes Hutchison and his wife, Janet Tyson Hutchison of Matthews, North Carolina and James Lee Hutchison and his wife, Paula Bedenbaugh Hutchison of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Kristin Carson Krumpos and her husband, James Steven, of Tucson, Arizona, William Paul Hutchison and James Ian Hutchison; and two great-grandchildren, Carson James and Abigail Jean Krumpos.
