William Higgins
January 9, 1946 — October 9, 2014
Waynesville, William Stuart Higgins, 68, died on October 9, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Asheville. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James and Nora Troutman Higgins. Stuart is survived by a brother, Ellis Higgins; niece, Mary K. Campbell; nephew, Steven Higgins; and close friend, Linda Rathbone. A graveside service with military rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 20, 2014 at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain with Reverend Ricky Shelton officiating.
