William Brooks

Waynesville, William Fred Brooks, Jr., age 60, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Blake Medical Center, Bradenton, Florida. A native of Albany, Georgia, he was the son of the late William Fred Brooks and Helen Hanke McGhee. Fred is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sherry Simpson Brooks; one daughter, Lauren Hubbard, and her husband, James, of Waynesville; one sister, Maria Brooks; three brothers, Bobby McGhee, Ricky Baines and Scotty Baines. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Garrett- Hillcrest Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum.
