Willa Mae Bolden "Willie" Miller, age 90, of 23 Skyline Drive, died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Murray Bolden. She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Miller was a member of Clyde Central United Methodist Church where she served as Sunday School secretary for many years. A special interest she especially enjoyed was taking great care to prepare and decorate the church altar for worship. She loved working in her yard and tending her flowers. She is survived by her husband of 72 and a half years, Ralph Harold Miller; a daughter, Carolyn Geraldine Large of Waynesville; a half sister, Marie Bolden James of Clyde; three grandchildren, Phyllis Large and her companion, Alexander Deeb, Nancy Allen and Donna Barkson and her husband, Bert; five great-grandchildren, Erika Waterman, Noah Barkson, Nathan Barkson, Hannah Allen and Micah Allen; a great-great-grandson, Avery Waterman, and several nieces and nephews whom she loved as brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2007, at Clyde Central United Methodist Church with the Reverend Randall A. Tingle, Reverend James W. Hart and Reverend W. T. Medlin officiating. Entombment will follow at The Horizon at Crawford-Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. Monday, prior to the service.
