Wilhelmina Wiggins

Atlanta, GA – Wilhelmina Pierson Wiggins, age 92, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Fulton County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Ruby Withers Pierson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edgar Wiggins, who died in 1997; a son, James Edgar Wiggins, Jr.; and one brother, Richard Pierson. Wilhelmina was a member of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church and enjoyed reading, playing cards and sewing. Wilhelmina is survived by two daughters, Carlene Wiggins of Atlanta and Valerie Ward and her husband, Tom, of Waynesville, North Carolina; a son, Harry Wiggins, of Atlanta; two sisters, Mildred Dimock of Savannah and Frances Linz, of Atlanta; a brother, Forrest Pierson and his wife, Nancy, of Yuma, Arizona; and two grandchildren, Logan and Forrest Ward. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Atlanta.
