Weaver Ledbetter

– Weaver James Ledbetter, age 88, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2014 at the Brian Center. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Volney and Savannah Sharp Ledbetter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mandy Melinda Huffman. He enjoyed the spring time when he could grow his garden and dig ramps. Weaver was a family man and loved each and everyone. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Laura Dills Ledbetter; two daughters, Teresa Alice Ledbetter of New Smyrna, Florida, and Cathy Ledbetter of Leicester; two sons, Robin Ledbetter (Shelia) of Asheville, and David Ledbetter of Leicester; three sisters, Hazel Summey and Rosa Lee Brookshire, both of Canton, and Mary Lee Emory of Marshall; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call on the family at the home.
