Canton

Hammond, Louisiana and formerly of Canton - Virginia Parker Clark, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven late Saturday afternoon, September 10, 2022. She left this world peacefully in her Louisiana home, surrounded by her family.

She was reunited with the love of her life and husband of fifty-five years, Paul; her mother and father, Alvin “Fat” and Vinnie Slatton Parker; and her beautiful “Sister,” Rebecca Parker Thompson.

She leaves behind her three beloved children, Burke Clark of Chesterfield, Virginia; Amy Clark Friar of Fairhope, Alabama; and Keith Clark of Hammond, Louisiana; her treasured grandchildren Amanda Clark of Chesterfield, Virginia; Paul (Erin) Clark of Roanoke, Virginia; Allison Friar (John Byron Strauss) of Nashville, Tennessee; Benjamin Clark of Westminster, Colorado; and Nicholas (Amanda) Clark of Walker, Louisiana. She was also blessed with three adored great-granddaughters, Gabby Clark, Addison Clark, and Savannah Strauss, bother-in-law, Joe Clark (Dale) of Minnesott Beach, North Carolina, nieces, nephews, as well as her much loved feline companion, Princess.

Virginia touched many lives during her 91 years. She had a long, successful career in real estate. As she and Paul relocated due to Paul’s job, she followed her career dream and became licensed in Tennessee, North Carolina, finally retiring in Louisiana. She loved her clients and the pleasure of helping them find their new home.

The loving matriarch of the family will always be known as a devoted wife, dedicated mother and loving grandmother. Her spirit will remain in the hearts of those who love her and her legacy will continue to live on through the lives she has touched.
