Virginia Blythe

Canton - Virginia H. Blythe, age 78, died Wednesday, October 03, 2007 at Brian Center in Waynesville. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Earl and Bessie Dot Nations Henson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Gerald C. Blythe, who died in December, 1996 and a brother, Vennoy Henson. Virginia was of the Baptist faith and loved crocheting dearly. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Gragg and her husband, Teddy, of Canton and Jerri Griffith and her husband, Donnie, of Waynesville; one son, Greg Blythe and his wife, Terri, of Canton; one sister, Violet Snyder of Canton; four brothers, Vernon, Vanise, Verlyn and Valgene "Butch" Henson, all of Canton; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2007 at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on the Old Clyde Road with Reverend Milton Hollifield officiating. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of arrangements.
