Virginia Allen

Clyde, Virginia Hennessee Allen, age 78, formerly of Clyde died Saturday, December 04, 2004 at Summit Place Nursing Home in Simpsonville, SC. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Margaret Joyce Goodson Hennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Glenn Allen and a son, Thomas Lee Allen, both who died in 1999. She was a homemaker and a member of Clyde Central United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son and his wife, Charles and Cherri Allen of Simpsonville, SC; a daughter-in-law, Mickey Allen of Clyde; a brother, Robert Lee Hennessee of Clyde; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Randall A. Tingle officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
