Virgilene Kinsland

Virgilene Reeves Kinsland, age 89, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Grady and Mahala Austin Reeves. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Kinsland, who died in 1974; a daughter, Nadeane Medlin, who died in 1971; three brothers, Letcher, Jim, and Ralph Reeves. Virgilene was a member of Canton Central United Methodist Church and worked at Square D. She is survived by one son, Reverend Richard Kinsland and his wife, Anne, of Asheville; one brother, Howard Reeves of Canton; three grandchildren, John Kinsland, Angela Wallace, and Ronna Medlin; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Darrell Webb and her grandson, Reverend John Kinsland officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 12:45 – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
